The Old Sacramento Scavenger Hunt

The Old Sacramento Scavenger Hunt is a free historical walking tour for kids.  We created it to serve as a working example of how parents can tap into the enormous educational potential of backyards, state parks, national parks, and other public lands.

Download the free map to explore Old Sacramento’s historic points of interest and free museums.  Each number on the map will correspond to a riddle on the reverse side.  The answers to each riddle will be found on a sign, historical marker, or other physical object in each location.  Solve the riddles and you can win a free prize.
