This Friday (May 28th 2010) marks the beginning of the 37th annual Sacramento Jazz Festival and Jubilee. Four hundred and fifty sets of live music will be served up to Sacramento by seventy bands at twenty four different venues. Eighteen of these sets will occur on the Family Stage, back in our little corner of Old Sacramento.
The family stage is located on the 1849 Scene, the grassy area between I and J Street next to the Trailmix.Net Old Sacramento Store . Bands featured here are either composed of young people or are bands that will appeal to the young. There are an estimated 300 “seats” available on the grass—bring a blanket. Seating here is free to the public.
